422 - Ocean View Retreat - Incredible View

Condo was, as stated, very clean. Kitchen was very well equipped and general supplies were well stocked: from paper goods to extra towels and bedding items.

Arriving, kiddos were thrilled to see the bunk bed, as well as the kid-sized table and chairs tucked away for them in the corner of the living room. And they would have loved all the Legos except we didn't find the large tote stored under the bed until the very last minute. Also available were some board games and lots of video/Xbox games, but we spent most of our time at the beach or on the trails, or in the pool, which was a straight shot from the front door. The condo also has a kite we could borrow, but we kept forgetting to grab it when heading out!

The master bedroom was comfortable and had a great view of the ocean.

The second bedroom was a bit stuffy, but partly our fault. Out of an overabundance of caution, we chose not to turn on the ceiling fan for fear the kids might accidentally hit it getting in and out of the top bunk at night.
(Note: these bedroom windows open out and pretty far into the walkway - just be aware so no one walking to the other condos bumps into them.)

Two bathrooms in the condo was a nice bonus - especially since the master bathroom was easily accessible without having to walk through the actual bedroom itself. The master bath had no tub, just a shower with a low rise threshold making it easy to get in and out - should that be a concern for anyone. ;-)

While exploring town, be sure to visit "Whale of a Cone" – delicious ice cream and a terrific owner as well! Also check out the floats/piers – you'll meet a local or two! And maybe see harbor seals or sea lions. Look for the roosting cormorants and watch the pelicans fly overhead.

This was a perfect spot for a beach vacation. It’s just a short walk to the sand and the view from the deck is amazing!

Relaxing, all the comforts of home, will be back next year for our 17th yr in a row.

We loved our visit! Condo was just as described and was a great size for all 5 of us. So close to the beach and great views from the living room. Would definitely stay again!

Very pleased with our stay. The condo was very clean and had everything you could possibly need. Beautiful unobstructed ocean view. Enjoyed watching the deer from the balcony including a new born fawn. Would stay here again and highly recommend it.

Well appointed condo and loved our 7 days here. Appreciated the toddler table and chairs as our daughter has a 9 month old. Beautiful view of the breakers and nice to have a pool hot tub too. Could have used a TV guide to show what Roku number was what channel.

So many nice additions to the room - games, Legos, cards. Ate at Blackbeard's Pizza one night, did not disappoint. Loved being right across the parking lot from the pool and park and golf.

We stayed in 422 for two weeks during the last week of June, first week of July 2023.

The condo was clean and ready upon arrival.

Living room: the sofa and chair with an ottoman are very comfortable. The recliner is old, barely functional and needs to be replaced with something that doesn’t require rodeo experience to close. The bench by the window is adequate for extra seating, but not comfortable for long periods of time.

Kitchen: fridge was great. Stovetop and oven were great. Wish there was a muffin tin and a smaller 8x8 baking dish, but we made due with the 13x9 pan. I had blueberry muffin mix and basically made a cake instead! The teenagers loved it, so it turned out well.

Master Bedroom: Comfortable bed, plenty of pillows (thankfully). It got stuffy at night, but there was a fan so that helped!

Master bathroom: small but clean.

Bedroom 2: queen bed and bunk bed allowed the older teens to share a room. Very grateful for this. The only bad part was the noisy occupants of other units coming home from the bars, smoking on the balcony and waking up said teens. And the crying newborn for two nights on the other side... the kids were exhausted from the lack of sleep and that was pretty frustrating for those few nights. Thankfully, we weren’t disturbed the entire two weeks, except for those nights!

Amenities: we were only able to use the hot tub once. A bit crowded for our tastes. Wish it was open earlier and later just for adults.

State park: we walked to town almost daily via the lovely paved path through the park next door. It’s probably about a 1.5 mile trek. It’s too bad there’s not a sidewalk to loop back by the brewery. That would be incredible!

Grocery store: the Shop n Kart is nearby along with the Dollar General. Prices are reasonable for a small town business!

Overall, a very enjoyable two week vacation. We will be back!

We had an amazing time. The condo is super clean, very well stocked, and provides a breathtaking and unobstructed view of the sunset over the ocean. The unit is very well organized and decorated, and little touches everywhere that offer something fun for everyone in the family; from bunkbeds, to boardgames, to Legos, to video game console to computer desk for WFH. Easy access to the beach, running trails, Grays Harbor Lighthouse, and Westport Light State Park and 5 mins drive to the Westport marina with multiple restaurants, gift shops, and fresh seafood stores. The complex is pristinely maintained and offers lots of fun activities like a pool, hot tub, kid's play area, mini golf, etc. Highly Recommended!

This is the safest location we have ever experienced for vacation rentals. The unit was clean, well stocked and has the most comfortable mattress. Walk to the beach is convenient and the complex offers a fantastic washing/rinsing station to keep sand outside. I'd stay here again and I'm not a fan of condos. Safety and cleanliness win.
