212 - Your Dog will Thank You

We really like Unit 212. For us with the dog it is a perfect location for walks and taking him to the Doggy Park. Lots of grassy areas for the dog. From past stays, we have always found the unit very clean and well appointed. Love having the washer/dryer to use if needed which on those rainy days walking the dog, it was nice to dry our clothes so we were ready for the next walk. This trip was a Mother/Daughter "cook and chill" get together. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and bake trying new recipes. While waiting for the baking, we enjoyed watching the TV with the fireplace for a cozy time. We have also stayed in the unit during July (read my review for more details) and found it so much fun with close access to the beach and the State Park walking trail. There are children's beach toys and lots of puzzles to pass the time. The management of Vacations by the Sea are great. They are readily accessible with information regarding the amenities of the area or questions one may have. We will be back!

Lovely unit with ample space and furnishings. Lots of cookware and supplies. Spotlessly clean. We loved the fireplace and the porch furnishings too. The writing desk was a nice touch - perfect for remote work or puzzles! We also appreciated the decor - calm and relaxing. Enough nice touches to feel homey but not cluttered. Left plenty of space for our own clutter. :)

Be aware that the listing may state there is an ocean view but the dune/bluff’s restoration efforts have blocked that view. The sea grass is also lovely and gives that beachy vibe.

Very well-appointed, comfortable unit with room for our three generations of humans and two dogs. Access to the beach, trail, and short drive anywhere we wanted to go. Overall a really enjoyable place to spend a few days.

I love the location of #212. Lots of parking, close to the dog park, close to the club house with the pool, work out room, basketball, horseshoes, and the putting green. We really appreciated the privacy on our patio, the grassy area for the dogs, the ocean sound to relax by, birds singing in the grassy areas in the dunes, clean and well appointed condo furnished for comfort and relaxation. The kitchen was well equipped for all our cooking which included full menus. I have stayed in another condo which was on the second floor but after staying in #212, I will always opt for this ground floor unit. We spent a delightful time and thank the owners of #212 for making such a lovely, well equipped, comfortable condo available for the dog owners. Not only will your dog(s) thank you but as a dog owner you will be very thankful that such a lovely condo is available so you may include your dog(s) in your vacation plans. Lastly, praise for the property management. They are not only professional in the manner that they handle the reservation (timely emails with details) but attend to any question/need in a quick timely fashion. Once, we accidently left our earrings in the condo after checking out, Vacation by the Sea contacted us immediately asking if the earrings belonged to us and when they found out they did, the property management immediately mailed the earrings to us at their expense. I dearly appreciate that attention to detail. We will be back!

nice place, convenient to beach access, perfect for families with furry babies. Our condo was very clean, comfortable, with well stocked kitchen. Guest and locals are very dog friendly.

This is my new favorite unit at Westport By the Sea. The unit was immaculate when we arrived. Updated classy decor and furnishings. Dogs welcome and there is a dog wash station a few yards away from the back door. So helpful at the beaches. The owner/s of this unit were focused on hospitality in so many ways, including sweet little signs with helpful hints about door locks and dishwasher cycles. We loved it here.

This condo is beautifully decorated and well equipped with a great view of the grasses and dunes in front of the ocean. It was very peaceful and quiet and an overall great place to stay.

We loved the unit. There were two things that I feel I need to mention. The throw rugs were curled up on the ends and a few of us tripped many times. The left side window in the living room is broken as is the one in the small bedroom. Otherwise it’s very spacious and plenty of room for six of us and our two dogs.

Our experience was wonderful. We loved our accommodations. It was an excellent unit, very classy, well located, with good access to all the supporting facilities, i.e clubhouse, pool, etc.

When we got to the condo the key box was not there. A while later a man walked out of the condo and put the key box on the wall. He was inside trying to get the cable to work. We turned some of the rugs upside down because the rug edges were sticking up and we were tripping on them.
The man came back the next day got the cable going.
Other than that it was great as always. We love these condos and come here to West Port every year or more.

We come here with my husband’s family. Last count was 26 guests from 5 years old to 71 years old. Something to do for all ages. We love the beach, swimming pool, brewery and our pet friendly condos with a view.
Most of all our units are super clean and have everything we need.

Enjoyed 4 nights stay with my adult daughter and our dogs. The condo was updated, clean, well equipped and cozy. Delighted in beach trail walks, cooking meals, puzzles, reading and relaxing. Thanks for sharing your beach hideaway.

Beautiful, relaxing unit. Nicely decorated and it had everything we needed. Only thing missing was an ocean view.

We come once a year with a group of families, and we always have a great time. All the amenities are there, the condo was well equipped (could use a bit more room for food you bring in and less martini glasses in the cupboards) but the unit was clean, the days were sunny, and we always have a great time.

Westport is our favorite beach to vacation at and this was a perfect spot to stay! Ground level, everything you need for cooking, beach toys and chairs, games for the evening AND my favorite part-it was squeaky clean! The housekeeping for this unit deserves a shout out and big tip!

This spacious, extremely clean, fully equipped condo was a delightful break for a retired couple with grandson after months of stay at home orders, too much zoom/on line schooling, interaction limits and winter. The roar of the ocean and running/kite flying on the beach was a welcome respite to get us all to Spring!

We had a great time and the condo was perfect for our needs. Amazing location with views and worked so well for our very active toddler.

I'm always a bit leary of renting apartments /condos, but this was a pleasant experience all around. Spotless unit. Tastefully decorated. Well equipped kitchen. Small patio wasn't used, but could theoretically sit out there and look at the dune grasses (water would be a little harder to see).

Washer and dryer were an added bonus.

About 1 mile to a supermarket, which is a definite feature because restaurants in the area left me uninspired (except for the Westport Winery).

The condo was very clean and well equipped. Beds very comfortable. Even the pull-out couch was nice to sleep on. Good ocean view from unit. Work out room and hot tub were great! Only down side was you had to walk to opposite side of property to access beach.

Manager's Response

We had six families close together. One was moved on the opposite side of us at the last minute because of some maintenance. The dunes were under construction so beach access was re routed to the opposite end making a long walk for us to the beach. However, the units and facilities are so nice, we would stay again and again.

Excellent time. The only drawback was that there was NO close access to the beach. Had to walk past unit 8 to get to the beach

Condo was clean and the weather was great!
I was a little disappointed that the trail was under construction that leads me o the beach and I was expecting a better view from the first floor but the dune that’s being put in blocked some of the view so next time I will choose second floor.

I would definitely recommend you to all my friends and family. The condo was beautiful. It was a home away from home. We loved being close to the beach. We found the ocean waves to be very soothing. We had a great stay. Thank you!
