What is Vacations by the Sea?
 

Vacations by the Sea is a family owned and operated vacation home rental business. We have been in business since 2003 managing the Westport by the Sea complex’s common facilities and many of the individual condo units for the unit owners through our vacation rental program. All condominiums we manage are privately owned and furnished by the homeowners. We are committed to ensuring you have the most fun and relaxing time while on your beach vacation and our staff of long time South Beach residents are happy to provide helpful advice on what to do and see in the area. With our onsite location, our experienced staff can provide exceptional customer service during your stay.

 

What is a Vacation Rental Program?

A vacation rental is very much like your own home. Our units are all individually owned and furnished with all the amenities you would expect in a vacation home. How do I make a reservation?

We offer several ways to make a reservation. You can call us toll free at 1-877-332-0090 and speak to one of our customer service professionals during business hours. You can also make a secure online registration through our website. You can also send us an email with vacation dates, a contact number, and a convenient time to call and we will be happy to call you back. A deposit equal to the amount of the first night’s lodging is required for all reservations and may be paid either immediately by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express) or by personal check or money order which must reach us within 7 days of the reservation request.

 

Where can I find information on check-in time, pets, smoking policy, etc?

Our rental policies page contains all the details about check in and check out times, cleaning fees, pets, maximum occupancy, cancellation policy, and maintenance of the vacation rental.

 

Why is there a "Maximum Occupancy" stipulated?

Everyone in your party counts as a guest. For fire and safety reasons, all of our one bedroom units are limited to a maximum occupancy of Four guests and all of our two bedroom units are limited to a maximum occupancy of Six guests.

 

What type of arrival instructions should I expect?

if you are arriving during business hours, please stop by the Vacations by the Sea office located in the Clubhouse for your keys and directions to your unit. If you are arriving after hours, we will provide detailed instructions on how to get your keys from the lock box located at the Clubhouse. We also will provide you with emergency numbers in case you have any difficulties. If arriving after hours, please come to the office in the Clubhouse the next morning for pool keys.

 

When is the "High Season" and when is the "Low Season"?

High Season and Low Season vary slightly from year ot year but generally High Season begins on May 15th and last through the busy summer season through September 15th. Low Season begins on September 16th and ends on May 14th.  Rates vary between these seasons as well as during holidays and special events. A minimum stay requirement may be in effect for certain holidays and special events as well. Please ask a customer service professional at 1-877-332-0090 for details on specific vacation dates you are considering.

 

How are cancellations/refunds handled?

We hope you won't need to cancel your beach vacation but understand the unexpected can happen. The cancellation policy associated with your rental agreement will clearly communicate penalties associated with canceling your reservation. Please note that cancellations due to weather conditions are not permitted.

 

What is the Cleaning Fee for?

The cleaning fee is charged on all units to cover the sterilization of the Jacuzzis (where applicable), bathrooms, bed linens, floors, and kitchens as well as the restocking of the guest amenities in each Unit. The per-stay Cleaning Fee for a one bedroom Condo is $50 and for a two bedroom Condo is $75.

 

What if there is a problem during my vacation?

We ask that you report any problems immediately. Contact information will be provided in the pre-arrival instructions and also posted in the rental. The telephone number listed in this information will be your best resource to quickly resolve any issues.

 

What happens when I get ready to leave?

Please ensure all windows and doors are locked and the unit is secure. Complete the departure checklist located on the back of the entry door. Also please ensure all electrical appliances and heat are off. Check to make sure that all your personal items are packed, and nothing is left behind. Lock the door, and come by the office in the Clubhouse to drop off your keys and receive a copy of your paperwork if desired.
